EPG recording problem

I set yesterday recording TV program from EPG menu. So "Timer" option shows name of channel, title of TV show and time of start and stop recording, including correction time (5 min before and after TV show). The program should be recorded today morning.
After that I set satbox in "deep standay".
Today satbox tur on itself, start recording but only 4 or 5 min was recorded. And the title of recording was something like this:
channel_name_date_rec_time_start - without TV show name
Probably it is misconfiguration of something. Can anybody tell me what?

You have no EPG at starting and then the "wrong" filename. Just activate the option "zap on recording announce", so there is the time to read the EPG. Or use a usb pen for saving the epg data. But why only 4-5 min. recording I don't know, very strange.

OK, on Hyperion I have EPG stored on USB. But how can I change path to EPG from default /swap/epg to USB patition? I did not found such option. I just click on EPG path in menu and only big blue rectangle appears.

Path changing is for the EPG not different to the other, just use left/right keys and "OK" for using the selected direktory.

OK, I mounted /dev/sdb3 (ext2 partition on USB mem) to created /epg dir via fstab. Here lisling of my mounts:
Code: Alles auswählen
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 379431 39055 320784 11% /
tmpfs 53736 0 53736 0% /ram
/dev/root 379431 39055 320784 11% /dev.static
tmpfs 53736 0 53736 0% /dev
tmpfs 53736 0 53736 0% /dev/shm
tmpfs 53736 20 53716 0% /tmp
/dev/sda1 307663800 24109412 267925956 8% /hdd
/dev/sdb3 500772 2715 472201 1% /epg
/dev/sda1 307663800 24109412 267925956 8% /tmp/mnt/NOLABEL-sda1
/dev/sdb1 97966 1774 96192 2% /tmp/mnt/NOLABEL-sdb1
/dev/sdb2 379431 39055 320784 11% /tmp/mnt/NOLABEL-sdb2
/dev/sdb3 500772 2715 472201 1% /tmp/mnt/NOLABEL-sdb3
The entry in setup was changer to store EPG info in /epg dir. But no file is created in /epg. So I have to wait?

The /etc/fstab was not needed if the label of the record partition right (RECORD) - see FAQ/Wiki, your label is just empty. This causes you have a /tmp/mnt/NOLABEL* mount. Why you have created an extra part on the hdd for epg? Just create a directory on the record part and set this in settings for epg saving.

Why? It is partition on USB mem stick, not on HDD. I play with Unix systems starting form 1985. Now I am near 60 years old. Thats why its the way I use to do it. Nothing more....
But now its ok. REBOOT was necessary. I don know why because I done mount -a. but now I can see all EPG related files in /epg.
The problem solved thanks to You. THX.

Recording on usb stick? Can be a problem, because a stick is (very) slow than a real hdd.

Yes, its slow. But I use it in E2-like systems for more than 4 years. Its enough speed for EPG needs.
But for all recordings (films etc) i use /hdd with /dev/sda1 mounted to that dir

My fault, sdb is the stick, sda the real hdd...
