I use Enigma more than 4 years but only from USB. Installing to internal flash for the first time, probably will drive me to "hertzklekot"...... So manual necessary...

At the AV7000 I use the http://forum.mbremer.de/downloads.php?v ... l&df_id=10 - but I dont know if it works at the Octa1018. If you have a working e2 from usb maybe you can flash the img directly with e2 without any tools. Or an other working system, then you can copy the img to /tmp and flashing via Telnet with flashcp.

If flash not running, no problem. USB still working because the bootargs are unchanged. So you can try it once again.

OK. I copied miniFLASH.img to /tmp on my running E2 (USB boot) and now the correct syntax should be simplu:

flashcp -v miniFLASH.img (taken from the link You pass me)

The flashcp help shows on my system:

BusyBox v1.21.1 (2013-10-05 21:29:14 CEST) multi-call binary.

Usage: flashcp -v FILE MTD_DEVICE

Copy an image to MTD device

-v Verbose

Thats all. What shuld be in the place of MTD_DEVICE parameter?
I am doing it for the first time. Could be painful...

The Destination mtd is the "full w/o bootloader" partition. You can see this with cat /proc/mtd, here with neutrino:

So "flashcp -v miniFLASH.img /dev/mtd5" looks to be right way to flash image on my satbox.
Because AV7000 and Octa 1018 are identical except unitID (it could be changed via AAF Recovery tool) i hope that I will not brick my box.
As I understand, I can run flashcp on my current running system, booted from USB (bootloader BA09a already installed). Or is it necessary to boot from original, flash installed firmware?

The other flash related commands available on my current system are:

On some forums concerning embedded Linux based devices (not satbox) people advice to erase flash first.
But other says that flashcp do everything taken a care about verifying and so on.
So what is Your advice?

Yes, flash_eraseall /dev/mtd5 is also needed before flashcp. Sorry, I forgot this.

The ID is not important, only for original firmware or firmware in IRD format. Thats the cause we need MAXI Uboot, because the bootargs are not the same as IRD is using.

At this moment I an still testing USB version of the newest Neutrino.
I imported channel list and bouquets form my previous E2 installation. It was done correctly, but now I want to set one of the bouquet as default after turning on satbox. That means keys CH+/- on remote must switch up/down channels inside that particular bouquet. I can not find option to set particular bouquet as default. How can I do it?

Do you mean "zap cycle" (only zap in actual bouquet)? If yes, see Settings->Extended->Channellist (and see also Wiki, there are a doku for the most options). If you mean a fix start channel, then see also Settings->Extended->Start Channel.

Yes. I mean "only zap in actual bouquet" and set this bouquest as default. OK. I will try. Next question I have:
- is it possible to install Polish language pack for OSD/Menu?
- picons - how to install and what about download source, is it possible to use/import picons from Hyperion?

And I have most important problem. I can not boot from flash after installing img file. Here output from terminal session of installing img:
